This trip will give you a chance to contemplate magnificent mountains covered with thick rain forest, lush plantation, wild nature and friendly people from different ethnic minority groups with their colorful and fantastic culture and custom, cycling throughout Sapa mountains and villages.
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Overnight train to Lao Cai
Transfered to Hanoi Center and overnight on train to Lao Cai. Lao Cai is on the gateways to China. Lao Cai lies at the end of the train line on the Chinese border. The border crossing slammed shut during the 1979 war between China and Vietnam and remained closed until 1993. Lao Cai is now a major hub for travellers journey between Hanoi, Sapa (38km away) and Kunming.
Day 2: Sapa – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Ban Ho
5.00am – Arrive in Lao Cai. Get to the exit of the train station where you can find your name sign held by Sapa Biking guide. The bus ride uphill to Sapa takes a little over an hour, giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. After breakfast, gear up for your exciting ride.
We depart the tour at 9:30am, we are riding down Cat Cat village on the small trail along the terraces reach to Y Linh Ho, then riding up hill to get to Lao Chai San 2 and Lao Chai on the villager’s paths. Visiting and communicating with Hmong people in these villages along the way. After cycling around Ta Van – a village of Giay minority, we are riding cross bamboo forest (no recommend in the rainy day) to get to Giang Ta Chai of Red Dao residence and Su Pan before reaching Ban Ho for homestay with Tay minority on stilted-house. Picnic Lunch is on the way. Dinner is at the homestay with host.

Day 3: Ban Ho – Nam Toong – (Ta Trung Ho) – Thanh Phu – Nam Sai – Sin Chai
Breakfast and take some photos with the host of homestay for his cordial welcome or take a chance to have a small swimming in a hot spring before continueing gear up to Ta Trung Ho along the same name stream from Hoang Lien primetive forests. Take a short break by visit some families of Red Dao in Ta Trung Ho, a village in the core of the Park. It is really challenging to explore Nam Toong village by cycling through mountain trails covered with thick rain forest, lush plantation, wild nature and friendly people. Some difficult part of route you have to take the bike on the shoulder. Control handlebar crossing bamboo forest to reach Nam Toong before riding on main road to get Thanh Phu and Nam Sai. After a short break here, you will pass through the Black Hmong Village to the Tay ethnic minority village of Thanh Phu. While your cook is preparing a delicious lunch, you will have time to explore the village and soon you will find out that things are not done in the way you are used to know. In the afternoon, your adventure continues into the Red Dao village, where you will have tasteful dinner in a local house and stay overnight in a homestay.

Day 4: Sin Chai – Suoi Thau – Gia Phu – Lao Cai
After breakfast, your journey will continue cycling to Suoi Thau village of both H’mong and Dao ethnic minority. Riding on down hill trail to get to Gia Phu along the nice stream and terrace. Lunch is set in a small foodstore on the way. Slowly pedalling on the trails and paths around this area to enjoy and experience the typical rural life of Vietnam. In the afternoon, transport vehicle picks up and transfer to Lao Cai for showering, dinner before get on the train back to Hanoi and end tour with us.
