300 Dragon-Shaped Artworks for Hanoi

Phu Yen artisans have made 300 dragon-shaped artworks by wood, stone, ornamental trees, fossil wood, etc. to celebrate the capital city great anniversary.

There are works standing more than 5 meters high and weighing nearly 10 tons, but others are as small as a fist. The most special products are Dragon-Transformed Vietnam which is made from an agate block of 5.5 tons, a big flower-vase made from a tree stump of 5.3cu.m and a wood painting entitled Relocating the Capital.

Materials to make these artworks mainly came from rivers and forest in Phu Yen province.

Nguyen Thai Son, director of Phuoc Son Co., Ltd, which owns most of these products, commented that artisans have worked since 2008 to produce these art pieces. They are working on the last products to send to Hanoi on September 25.
